I'll remember Uncle Ben, as the cool Uncle! He was always around at family parties, and was always hanging out with the kids. We thought he was so cool, his hair, the way he dressed, his humor & he never told us off for our poor manners!

Ben bought me my first Now albumn.  I've looked it up, it was Now 10, 1987! I was 9. This introduced me to music I'd never heard before! I cherished that albumn for years! I still have the Alice in Wonderland book he gave me one year for Christmas on my bookshelf, one book I actually remember reading as a child!

I don't remember how old I was, but I remember Ben took myself and my sister to see The Rocky Horror Picture Show in Plymouth! I wasn't that old.  Wow, what a treat! It was fantastic! We went with Ben and his friends, and we even went to the pub! I remember feeling so grown up, going to the big city and being treated as one of the gang! In later years, we'd share a roll up in the yard, having conversations which were just very relaxed and easy going.

Over more recent years unfortunately our paths haven't crossed as much. But, when they did, Ben was always welcoming to me and my family & pleased to see us.

We will miss you Uncle Ben, rest in peace x
